Sichuan Cancer Hospital (Research Institute)·Sichuan Cancer Prevention Center·The Affiliated Tumor Hospital of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China was established in the late 1970s. It is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, which enjoys the reputation of "Nation of Abundance." The key clinical specialty (oncology) construction project unit, Sichuan Medical Quality Control Center for Tumor Diseases and Sichuan Radiotherapy Quality Control Center are all located in the hospital. The hospital occupies an area of 110 acres, has 1,500 hospital beds, and actually opened 1,590. It has 33 clinical departments (ward) including surgery center, internal medicine center, and radiotherapy center, as well as tumor radiography diagnosis and treatment center, ultrasound medicine center, and tumor precision detection center. There are 14 medical technical departments, 6 clinical translational research departments and 1 tumor basic research department, with more than 350,000 outpatient visits, more than 55,000 hospitalizations, and 17,000 operations. It has developed into the largest cancer hospital in southwest my country that integrates cancer treatment, prevention, scientific research, teaching, and rehabilitation.
