Yueyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hunan Province
Yueyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1958. It is the only large-scale comprehensive hospital in Yueyang City that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation. It is a national three-level A Chinese hospital, and a national key Chinese hospital. The hospital covers an area of 57 acres, with a construction area of 52,000 square meters, 1,000 open beds, and an annual outpatient volume of more than 520,000. It is equipped with more than 1,200 modern diagnosis and treatment equipment such as 128-slice CT, 3.0 nuclear magnetic field, linear accelerator, large C-arm machine, German Siemens clinical examination laboratory assembly line, TTM scanner. There are 45 clinical departments including internal medicine, external medicine, women's, children, emergency department, anorectal, bone injury, and ICU, and 12 medical technical departments including radiology, function, inspection, and pathology. Zhang's orthopedics is one of the 13 national academic schools of orthopedics of traditional Chinese medicine. The Department of Orthopedics has been identified as the national academic school inheritance and construction department; Tuina is listed as one of the eight key clinical disciplines of massage in the country. The Department of Oncology, Diabetes, Acupuncture and Tuina, and the Center for Treatment of Diseases were established as national key specialties. The Department of Neck, Shoulder, Waist and Leg Pain, Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat—Head and Neck Surgery were rated as provincial key specialties, Cardiovascular, Anorectal, Twelve clinical departments including obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics have been designated as key specialties of integration of Chinese and Western medicine in Yueyang City.
In the past three years, the hospital has undertaken 2 research projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 46 research projects at the ministerial, provincial, municipal and university levels, and 7 provincial and municipal scientific research results. Published 285 academic papers in national journals. Introduce 156 new technologies and methods such as tumor biotherapy technology, burn regeneration technology, and interventional therapy. Each year, it undertakes clinical teaching tasks for more than 200 undergraduate students in acupuncture and massage, internal medicine, advanced nursing, etc., and recruits more than 20 graduate students. A number of treatment technologies for bone injuries, tumors, encephalopathy, kidney disease, blood disease, cardiovascular disease, anorectal, burns, etc. have reached the domestic and provincial advanced levels. A large number of high and difficult new technology projects such as interventional therapy, endoscopic technology, microsurgery, minimally invasive bone trauma, and emergency rescue have developed into brands in northern Hunan and southern Hubei.
